Question: How much do you respect the Tracy's Kenpo organization? Would you recommend their training?

Andrew, since you are allowing this question to be public, I will publish both your question and my answer.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for glancing at my website. I say --- glancing --- because the front page of Yourkenpo.com clearly states --- This website is devoid of any organizational agenda. So, I may not be the proper person to ask the above question. But, since you asked ...
I will start with Organization.
Martial Arts organizations generally function to administer (rank) gradings, formulate and establish curriculum, produce training materials, and generate certificates of rank to active members who have tested. Ideally, organizations provide various services to their members.
Organizations don't directly educate a student, teachers do!

Your education as a martial artist will depend on:
1.your personal motivation
2.your teacher's ability to get the principles, theories, and concepts of whatever martial arts method across to you
3.other factors (time commitment, athletic and intellectual abilities etc.)

My recommendation ---
Stay committed to your training and find the best teacher you can to teach you the Art!

"A man who knows his Art is a difficult man to beat." Sijo Adriano Emparado

As for your reference to Respect ---
I try to emulate Funakoshi sensei's model,
Do Not adversely criticize any of the other martial arts for they are all a demonstration of human accomplishment. It has been wisely written, "The mountain does not laugh at the river because it is lowly, nor does the river laugh at the mountain because it cannot move about."

My Best Wishes in all your martial arts endeavors,
Dennis Lawson
